With this G4+ Storm Black ECU, that has all changed. Finally a modestly priced ECU available with 8 injector drives, 8 ignition drives and plenty of inputs and outputs!

The G4+ Storm offers the latest in high end aftermarket engine management.  You will be stunned by the G4+ Storm’s performance, features and reliability.

The Link G4+ Storm Black is perfectly suited to 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines that have neither an electronic ‘fly-by-wire’ throttle nor have large sized, low impedance injectors requiring ‘peak and hold’ injector drives. If either of these features are required, then the Link G4+ Xtreme or G4+ Fury ECU‘s would be better suited.

The G4+ Storm Black ECU has the following key features:

  • 8 Injector Drives
  • 8 Ignition Drives
  • 8 Auxiliary Outputs (Fan, Boost control, idle speed control, etc.)
  • 8 User-configurable Analog Inputs (wide-band O2, oil pressure, boost adjust knob, etc.)
  • 3 User-configurable Temperature Inputs
  • 2 dedicated trigger inputs
  • 8 User-configurable Digital Inputs
  • 2 Channel closed loop knock control

This is plenty for most applications, but if you require even more inputs and outputs, E-throttle or ‘peak and hold’ injector drives,  then we recommend the Storm Black’s bigger brother the G4+ Xtreme Black or the G4+ Fury. All G4+ ECUs have the same tuning features.

G4+ ECUs do not require the use of an air flow meter. The engine can be converted to speed density using a MAP and intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. These sensors are available separately.

Once the installation is complete the G4+ allows a good tuner to achieve an optimal tune to get the most out of any combination of modifications.

The G4+ Storm comes with a non-engine-specific base map. The ECU will need to be configured for the engine type and tuned via the free tunning software, PCLink.

The G4+ Storm comes with a USB tuning cable. In most cases the G4+ can use all of the factory sensors except IAT.

A Loom kit must be purchased. These are available in 400mm, 2.5m, 5m. The Link G4+ Storm Black uses 2 looms, referred to as an ‘A Loom’ and a ‘B Loom’. For basic 4 cylinder applications, it is possible to use the ‘A Loom’ only. If additional inputs like closed loop knock control are required, or if the ECU is intended to be used on a 6 or 8 cylinder engine running coil-per-cylinder ignition and/or sequential injection, both the ‘A Loom’ and the ‘B Loom’ will be required.
